Abstract Sounds

Abstract Sounds is a Cleveland-based jazz fusion band led by saxophonist Jevaughn Bogard. Formed in 2021, the group blends jazz, funk, soul, gospel, and dance into a high-energy, crowd-friendly sound. Influenced by artists like Snarky Puppy and Herbie Hancock, their mission is to make jazz both exciting and accessible. Bogard, a Cleveland native who studied at Oberlin, created the band after touring and recovering from open-heart surgery. Abstract Sounds has performed at the Tri-C Jazz Fest and Rubber City Jazz Fest, and has opened for legends like Kid Capri and Mark Lettieri of Snarky Puppy. Their latest single, Atychiphobia (The Fear of Failure) featuring Grammy-nominated guitarist Dan Wilson, is available on all major music platforms.
