Lorain, Ohio native Ashton Thomas is well regarded as a drum virtuoso whose expansive creativity and thorough technique around the instrument have earned him recognition throughout the music industry. A graduate of the prestigious Musicians Institute in Hollywood, Thomas has established himself as one of the most versatile and sought-after drummers of his generation.

Coming up in a musical family, it was certain that music would always be a part of his life to one extent or another. However, it wasn't until his freshman year of high school that he decided he wanted to pursue a drumming career. It was then that he joined the marching band, jazz band, and orchestra of the now defunct Lorain Admiral King High School. "That was the turning point in my life," he says. "On the outside looking in, I'm sure, I appeared to be a totally different person at that point, because it wasn't until then that I started even expressing an interest in music, although the passion to play was always there."

Thomas's professional career began remarkably early at the age of 16, demonstrating his exceptional talent and dedication from the outset. Over the course of his career, he has played on more than 100 recordings, showcasing his versatility across multiple genres including jazz, R&B, gospel, and hip-hop. This extensive discography speaks to both his technical proficiency and his ability to adapt his playing style to serve the music, regardless of genre.

His touring experience is equally impressive, having traveled worldwide with various artists and gaining exposure to diverse musical cultures and audiences.
